A. Antique Tables
First read about your specific shape antique table. Before making your
template -- measure each half of table. If one half is larger then the other, take pattern
from larger half. Often with old tables there may be several small leafs, all measuring
different sizes. Make sure to indicate all different sizes on order form.
Example: If your table has five-8 inch leaves. You may consider ordering 2-16"
leaves and 1-8" leaf. Complete measuring form and template. B. Round
Tables
Would you believe 80% of tables thought to be round are not true rounds? If the
width (along the split) and the length (perpendicular to split) are exact then your table
is round and no template is needed. If you find any difference, even 1/8
inch, a template is
needed to ensue a perfect fit. Complete measuring form and template.
C. Shaped Tables
These type tables may include boat, oval egg and scalloped shaped tables.
Also
rectangular tables with large rounded corners. All these tables require templates.
Complete measuring form and template.
D. One Piece Tables
One piece tables do not split in center. One piece tables other than perfect round,
perfect square and perfect rectangular require a full pattern of the entire top surface.
You may call the factory for additional template paper. It can be taped together or use
mailing type craft paper if handy.
E. Perfectly Square or Rectangular Tables
If your table has right angle corners a template is not needed. But if your table
is basically square or rectangular with rounded corner a template is needed. Complete
measuring form and template.
F. Refractory Tables
Extensile tables are tables which have leafs that either pull out or insert in the
ends. Most often the main table is rectangular with right angle corners and only
measurements are needed. Complete measuring form.
